1.John 6:51; 3:16 - He gave His life for the life of the world - effective only on believers.

2.John 12:32-33. His death would draw ALL men, hence his death was FOR all men. Only those who come to this though are saved by it.

3.Rom. 5:18-19. Here the FACT is stated. The conditions are not here stated. Christ justification is said to be able to effect as many as Adam's sin did - EVERYONE.

4.2Cor. 5:14 - one died for all, then all were dead.

a.admitted that all are dead in sin (Rome 3:23).

b.Christ died for those who were dead in sin - 2 Cor. 5:14.

c.Christ then died for all!

5.Hebrews 2:9

a. Note" by the grace of God", Christ "tasted death for every man", therefore, if those for whom He died is restricted, so is God's grace!

b.The grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men" (Tit. 2:11). and it is this grace which sent Christ to die for all.

6.2Cor. 5:19 - God was in Christ reconciling the WORLD to himself.

7.1 Tim. 2:4-6. for this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour, who will have ALL MEN to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; who gave himself a ransom FOR ALL, to be testified in due time.

a.GOD'S WILL - is for all to be save.

b.Not all are saved. Hence - although it is not God's will (want) for some to perish, they will!

8.Heb. 2:9; We see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for

EVERY MAN.

9.1 John 2:2 - He is the propitiation for OUR sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the WHOLE WORLD

10.1 Jn. 4:14 And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the son to be the Saviour of the WORLD.

CONCLUSION:THE ATONEMENT IS EFFICACIOUS FOR ALL MEN POTENTIALLY, FOR NO MAN UNCONDITIONALLY, AND FOR BELIEVERS EFFICIENTLY.
